For the second consecutive day, the McClain Tigers lost to the Washington Blue Lions, falling Tuesday night, 8-0 in a South Central Ohio League makeup game at Mitchell Park in Greenfield.

Kyle Flora was the losing pitcher for the Tigers as he faced 31 Blue Lion batters in 6.1 innings of work. The senior hurler gave up eight hits, allowing seven runs (four earned).

"Kyle pitched great, but Court House finally got to him in the last inning," MHS head coach Brandon Streitenberger said.

MHS struggled to hit the ball, fanning 13 times in the game. Jordan Boles and Dylan Trefz combined for McClain's three hits.

With the Tigers trailing 2-0, the Blue Lion bats came to life, batting around and plating six runs expanding the game open.

Leisure was the winning pitcher for the Blue Lions as he went the distance.

"Court House played a complete game," Streitenberger said. "They threw out a batter from right field, executed a squeeze to perfection and didn't commit an error.

"Plus, Leisure was in complete control of the game. They are a scary team right now in the SCOL."

McClain (4-5, 7-10) travels to Clinton-Massie Wednesday for an SCOL contest.
