Tigers fend off Warriors

SARDINA — The McClain Tigers traveled to Eastern Brown on Wednesday, picking up a non-lague win by defeating the Warriors, 8-2.

Senior Ryan Perie picked up the win on the mound.

Perie went the distance for the Tigers throwing just 68 pitches the entire game.  Perie struck out three, walked none, while allowing one earned run.  


[[In-content Ad]]The Tigers' (4-3, 7-11) defense was stellar, committing one error with shortstop Jordan Boles contributing with nine assists.

"Jordan and Ryan were a two man show tonight," MHS head coach Brandon Streitenberger said. "Each night recently has been a little different, with different guys stepping up and getting the job done. (Wednesday), it was those two."

Leading the Tiger hitters was Brent Shannon who went 3-for-5 with two triples and two RBIs.

McClain travels to Hillsboro on Friday for an South Central Ohio League contest.
