Tigers fall to Red Raiders in double OT

In a battle for a South Central Ohio League win, it was the London Red Raiders who scored one more point in double overtime, handing the McClain Tigers their seventh loss of the season by a 62-61 score.
This was the Red Raiders' first South Central Ohio League win of the season as they move to 1-4 in the league and 3-7 overall. MHS stands at 1-5 in the SCOL and 4-7 overall.
This was the third straight game where the Tigers lost by a single point and their second straight overtime loss.
It was the first frame that hurt the Tigers as they were outscored by eight points, trailing 11-3 after the first quarter.
Once regulation was complete, each team had 47 points, and in the first overtime, each team scored seven points as McClain's John Turner sank a 3-pointer to send the game into the second overtime.
In the second overtime, the Red Raiders outscored the Tigers, 8-7.

LHS was led by four players who scored all 62 points, with Kyle Fisher leading all scorers with 25 points. Brok Bennett followed with 19 points, and Zac Carey totaled 14 points. Also scoring for LHS was Sully Minner with four points.
The Red Raiders had three 3-pointers with Fisher, Bennett and Carey.
McClain was led in scoring by Ryan Faulconer and Thomas Schrader with 14 points each. Brent Shannon added 13 points.
Also scoring for MHS were Bryce Duff (3), Turner (5), Evan Mustard (5) and Mikel Pritchard (7).
The Tigers made six 3-pointers in the game with Shannon making three, with Mustard, Duff and Turner each making one.
MHS was 7-of-17 from the free-throw line (41 percent) with the Red Raiders going 15-of-17 (88 percent). MHS committed 19 fouls and 15 turnovers, while LHS had 15 fouls and 13 turnovers.
McClain will play again on Friday at Madison-Plains, followed by a game on Saturday at Unioto.
