Tigers fall 1 run short against Blanchester

GREENFIELD — The McClain Tigers lost to the Blanchester Wildcats, 3-2 on Thursday evening at Mitchell Park in non-league play.

The Tigers (3-2, 4-10) battled back late in the game, after falling behind 2-0. MHS plated their two runs in the final two innings.

Senior Ryan Perie was the hard luck loser for the Tigers. Perie pitched 6 2-3 innings, striking out six, walking four and allowing seven hits.  

Perie gave up three runs, which were all earned. Perie was relieved in the seventh by Ryan Duff, who faced one batter and recorded an out.

Seven different Tiger hitters contributed with hits, with Perie and Jordan Boles delivering an RBI each.

McClain travels to Miami Trace Friday for a South Central Ohio League contest at 5 p.m.
