EBER — The McClain Tigers wrapped up their South Central Ohio League slate with a one-point loss to the Miami Trace Panthers 42-41 at MTHS on Friday night.
The Tigers were outscored 13-10 in the first quarter but took a 23-19 halftime lead following a 13-6 second frame.
Following halftime, the Panthers (6-5, 9-10) outscored MHS 12-7, and in the final frame, each team scored 11 points.
Leading the Tigers (2-10, 5-14) was Ryan Faulconer with a team-high 10 points, with all points coming from the free-throw line.
Thomas Schrader followed with nine points, and Trey Lytle added seven points. Brent Shannon followed with six points, and Evan Mustard ended the night with five.
John Turner added three points, and Bryce Duff scored one point.
MHS had five 3-pointers from Shannon, Lytle, Mustard, Turner and Schrader.
Leading MT was Marcel Pettiford with 10 points and Jordan Riley with eight points. Cedric Pettiford added seven.

MHS has one regular-season game remaining, as they will travel to Southeastern High School on Saturday night for a non-league game against the Southeastern Panthers.
MT has one SCOL game, making up a rivalry game with the Washington Blue Lions on Saturday night at MTHS.
