The McClain Tigers were upended by the Logan Elm Braves Tuesday evening, as they dropped a non-league game by a 20-5 score at LEHS.

The Tigers (1-2) sent three pitchers (Jordan Boles, Shawn Haddox and Devin Trefz) to the mound, who combined for 13 walks.

"This game was like going to the dentist and not getting enough anesthesia," MHS head coach Brandon Streitenberger said. "Strikes were hard to come by, and when we found them, they (LE) clobbered the ball."

Boles (0-1), a senior, was the losing pitcher for the Tigers as he allowed nine earned runs in 1.1 innings of work.

The Braves led 4-2 after the first inning, then followed that with a seven-run second and nine-run fourth.

MHS scored three runs in the fifth, as the game ended after five due to the run-rule.

The Tigers were led at the plate by Kyle Flora at 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Zach Rumer, Brent Shannon and Logan Rhonemus had the other Tiger hits.

MHS committed three errors, while LE had two.

McClain travels to Madison-Plains Wednesday for their South Central Ohio League opener.
