LONDON — The McClain Tigers dropped a South Central Ohio League contest Monday, falling to the London Red Raiders, 4-0.

With the win, London continues to lead the SCOL with only one league loss (9-1), which came at the hands of McClain on April 4.

With the loss by Hillsboro (7-3) on Monday, 2-0 to Miami Trace, the Red Raiders now have a two-game league lead with two games remaining, clinching no less than a share of the league crown. If LHS defeats HHS on Wednesday in Hillsboro, the Red Raiders will clinch the outright league championship.

The Tigers managed only two hits in the game with Brent Shannon and Ryan Perie each contributing singles in the third and fourth innings.

MHS threatened in both the third and fourth innings, with runners on second and third with one out in both innings, but were unable to plate a run.

McClain now stands at 7-13 overall and 4-5 in the SCOL. On Wednesday, MHS will travel to Fayette County to face the Washington Blue Lions in Washington C.H.
