Tiger Sharks compete at sectionals

Both McClain boys and girls Tiger Sharks swimming teams have swimmers who qualified for the Central District Championship at the Bill & Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at Ohio State University. Those swimmers who qualified are:
• Girls 200m Medley Relay — Savannah Olaker, Amber Sowders, Morgan Dettwiller and Jeana Copas.
• Girls 200m Individual Medley — Savannah Olaker.
• Girls 100m Backstroke — Savannah Olaker.
• Boys 200m Medley Relay — Trevor Figgins, Kyle Brown, Adomas Fabin and Tommy Free.
• Boys 500m Freestyle — Tommy Free.
• Boys 400m Freestyle Relay — Trevor Figgins, Jimmy Free, Tommy Free and Adomas Fabin.
Other results in the sectionals included:
• 200 Medley Relay Team — Savannah Olaker swimming the backstroke, Amber Sowders the breaststroke, Morgan Dettwiller the butterfly and Jeana Copas anchoring with the freestyle placed 5th with a time of 2:19.72, their best time of the season.
• 200m Freestyle — Morgan Dettwiller placed 8th (2:28.45).
• 200m Individual Medley — Savannah Olaker placed 4th (2:44.52).
• 100m Freestyle — Morgan Dettwiller placed 3rd, her personal best time of 1:05.51.
• 200m Freestyle Relay — Savannah Olaker, Jeana Copas, Amber Sowders and Morgan Dettwiller placed 4th (2:07.82).
• 100m Backstroke — Savannah Olaker placed 2nd with her personal best time for the season and new school record of 1:09.14.
• 100m Breaststroke — Gretta Reyer placed 8th (1:33.73), and Amber Sowders placed 5th (1:27.05).
• 400m Freestyle Relay made up of Gretta Reyer, Kaylee Smith, Jeana Copas and Amber Sowders placed 8th (5:26.70).

• 200m Medley Relay Team — Trevor Figgins swimming the backstroke, Kyle Brown the breaststroke, Adomas Fabin the butterfly and Tommy Free anchoring with the freestyle placed 7th with a 2:05.24, their best time of the season.
• 200m Freestyle ~ Daniel Mottie placed 10th with a season personal best of 2:31.36, and Aaron Litteral placed 5th with a 2:22.79.
• 200m Individual Medley — Kyle Brown placed 10th (3:19.79)
• 50m Freestyle — Adomas Fabin placed 10th (:25.73).
• 100m Butterfly — Nick Torbett placed 8th (1:42.50).
• 100m Freestyle — Trevor Figgins placed 7th (:58.00).
• 500m Freestyle — Daniel Mottie placed 10th with a 6:55.25, and Tommy Free placed 6th with a 6:06.00, the best time of the season for both boys.
• 200m Freestyle Relay — Jimmy Free, Aaron Litteral, Daniel Mottie and Adomas Fabin placed 7th (1:53.79).
• 100m Backstroke — Trevor Figgins placed 3rd (1:08.23).
• 100m Breaststroke — Kyle Brown placed 7th with his best time of the season (1:19.97)
• 400m Freestyle Relay — Tommy Free, Trevor Figgins, Jimmy Free and Adomas Fabin placed 3rd (3:58.66).
