The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) released their 2025-26 All-OAC teams, and Wilmington College Quakers sophomore Thane McCoy earned First Team recognition in the 157-pound weight class after a stellar 28-2 regular season performance.

McCoy (Wilmington HS/Wilmington, Ohio) is the first Quaker to be named First Team All-OAC since the program returned in 2018-19. He is the first to earn All-OAC recognition since Shadrach Brausch at Heavyweight in 2021.

The sophomore started the year winning 12 matches in a row before falling to fellow First Team All-OAC performer Andrew Supers at 165 pounds. After his first loss, he won 16 out of his final 17 regular season matches. His lone loss came via medical forfeit.

McCoy went 5-1 against OAC opponents this year. He defeated Ethan Bartlett from Ohio Northern University by tech. fall, 19-4, in 6:44. Against Heidelberg University’s Michael Hatgas he won by tech. fall, 19-3, in 3:39. He defeated Ohio Northern’s Londen Murphy by major decision, 11-2, which at the time was Murphy’s first loss of the season.

After a forfeit win vs. Muskingum University, he defeated Giovanni Duniec from the University of Mount Union by decision, 9-2. McCoy has racked up 10 tech. falls and four falls during the season.

McCoy earned three OAC Wrestler of the Week awards this season, going back-to-back on Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, before finishing his regular season 2-0 for another OAC honor on Feb. 16. His 28 wins are the most since the program returned during the 2018-19 campaign.
