SSCC moves to 2-0 on season

The Southern State Patriots men's basketball team moved to 2-0 overall Saturday as they defeated Ivy Tech Community College (Ind.), 109-67 at the Patriot Center in Hillsboro.

For the Patriots, who are now coached by Travis McAvene, they were led in scoring by Kamorin Harris with 17 points and Tyrand Cumberland with 16.

In their first game of the season, SSCC defeated Clark State Community College, 80-63 at CSCC.

The SSCC women's basketball team is 0-2 after their first two games of the season as they were defeated 101-44 by Ohio Midwestern and 70-55 by Ohio University-Lancaster.
