Hillsboro High School standout Wesley Sears has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Southern State Community College.

“Wesley is another good addition to our basketball program at SSCC,” said SSCC Men’s Basketball Coach Blake Kibler. “Wesley is a very good athlete who can penetrate the gaps in opposing defenses to create for himself or other teammates. He will play the point guard position or the shooting guard position. Wesley is also a good on-the-ball defender who has good foot work and quick hands. He has a lot of talent that has not been touched yet, so we are really excited to see Wesley grow as a player and student here at Southern State.”
