The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs are on a path to return to where they ended last season.

LC (17-1-1) is just one win away from doing so. To reach the Division III Regional Finals, they must first take on Bishop Rosecrans in the regional semifinals, a team that is also highly competitive as their 15-3 record shows.

The postseason for No. 1 seed of the Athens 2 District, Bishop Rosecrans (Zanesville) has seen them play just two matches, with an 8-2 win over Steubenville Central Catholic and a 7-0 district final win over No. 2 seed Ironton St. Joseph Central on Saturday afternoon.

Of their three losses in '14, they came to New Philadelphia, which was their last loss on Oct. 2 (by a 1-0 score), along with a 5-1 loss to Zanesville and to Newark by a 1-0 score.

Lynchburg-Clay's lone loss was to Western Brown at the start of the season, losing by a 1-0 score.
