Red Raiders sweep season series against Indians

For the second time this season, the Hillsboro Indians fell to the London Red Raiders, as their second meeting sent the Indians to a 63-54 loss Tuesday night at LHS.

The Indians lost their first meeting to the Red Raiders, at HHS, on Jan. 12 by a score of 50-42.

In the game on Tuesday, the Red Raiders led 12-9 after the first frame, followed by HHS being held to three points in the second for a halftime deficit of 32-12, as the Red Raiders scored 20 points in the second frame.

HHS played better in the second half, as they outscored LHS 20-16 in the third and 22-15 in the fourth.

Jarrod Hart led the Indians with 21 points, followed by Jordan Captain with nine and Zach Young with eight.

Also for HHS, Latrell Haithcock scored six points and Reese Leibreich added five, while Austin Bagshaw scored three points and Trey Moberly rounded out the scoring with two.

Kyle Fisher led the Red Raiders with 25 points, while Brok Bennett added 17 points and Zac Carey scored 15 points.

Justin Long, Zach Anderson and Sully Minner each scored two points.

The Indians will play again on Friday, Feb. 1 as they travel to face Miami Trace.
