Paints announce 2012 Prospect League schedule

The Chillicothe Paints Baseball Club will open the Prospect League 2012 season with a road game at Butler, PA on Tuesday, May 29. The Paints’ home opener is slated for Thursday, May 31 versus the Richmond RiverRats at V. A. Memorial Stadium.
Chillicothe, along with Richmond (IN), Lorain Country, OH, (Ironmen); Butler, PA (BlueSox); Slippery Rock, PA (Sliders) and the West Virginia (Miners) will make up the East Division of the 12-team league.
The West Division will consist of Dubois County, IN (Bombers); Terre Haute, IN (Rex); Danville, IL (Dans); Springfield, IL (Sliders); Quincy, IL (Gems); and Hannibal, MO (Cavemen).
The 60-game regular-season schedule, an increase of four more games than in 2011, will be split into two halves, and conclude on Saturday, August 7th. The 1st and 2nd half winners from each division will face each other on Tuesday, Aug. 7, with the winners gaining a berth in the two-game Championship Playoffs, to be held on Thursday, Aug. 9 and Saturday, Aug. 11.
The PL All-Star game will be held in Springfield, IL on Wednesday, July 11.
Paints’ season tickets and “U-Pick-‘Em Ticket Mini-Plans are now on sale at the Paints’ Gift Shop in downtown Chillicothe. Despite the increase of two home games, season ticket prices will remain the same as last year. Call (740) 773-TEAM (8326) to order by phone. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
