Paint Valley gains 4 All-Ohio players

Paint Valley added four players to their list of Associated Press All-Ohio players this week as one senior, two juniors and a freshman all earned special mention state honors selected by a sports media panel.
The senior earning a spot on the team was Quentin Tesi. He was joined by juniors Mark Clifford and Nate Yoakum and freshman Teagan McFadden as all four players were recently selected to first-team in the SE District's All-District earlier in the month.
For Tesi (a 5-9, 170 linebacker), his final year was very productive as he totaled 77 tackles (16 for loss) with seven sacks and four fumble recoveries. He added three blocked kicks and was the Scioto Valley Conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Though he was selected for his defensive play, Tesi also totaled 678 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball.

Clifford (6-1, 215) was selected as a punter. The junior averaged 40.4 yards per punt with eight punts landing inside the 20-yard line. He had five punts land inside the 10-yard line and had six fake punts for first downs, including one for a touchdown as he was selected the SVC Punter of the Year. Offensively, he rushed for 588 yards and 11 TDs, and on defense, he totaled 63 tackles at nose guard with five sacks and nine tackles for loss.
Yoakum (6-0, 185) was selected as a linebacker to the All-Ohio team for the second year in a row. This season, he totaled 73 tackles (12 for loss) as he was a first-team All-SVC player. Offensively, he had three touchdowns as a tight end.
McFadden (5-10, 185) is the lone freshman from PV to earn special mention honors. At strong safety this year, he earned state honors with 68 tackles (nine for a loss) and collected two interceptions. He deflected nine passes and had three TDs on the defensive side. He was also honorable mention All-SVC.
The Bearcats finished No. 9 in Division V, Region 20 this season with an overall record of 6-3-1. Their SVC mark was 4-3, third in the conference. They had wins against Belpre, Williamsburg, Southeastern, Adena, Huntington and Unioto. They tied with Cedarville.
