Ohio State University’s Lena Hentschel will represent Team Germany in the 3-meter synchronized dive and the 3-meter springboard at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Earlier this year, Hentschel secured her spot with a sixth-place finish in both events at the World Aquatics Championships.
Hentschel, a sophomore from Berlin, and her diving partner, Jette Muller, turned in an aggregate score of 273.93 in the 3-meter synchronized dive in Doha to punch their ticket to Paris.
Hentschel also placed sixth on the 3-meter springboard with a total score of 289.95.
This will be the second time Hentschel has competed in the Olympics; she was a bronze medalist in the 3-meter synchronized dive at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is the eighth Olympic diver in Ohio State women's swimming and diving program history.
The 3-meter synchronized finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place Saturday, July 27.
