OSU alumna Romano qualifies for Paris Olympics on Team Puerto Rico

Ohio State swimming and diving alumna Kristen Romano has qualified to compete on Team Puerto Rico at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Romano will represent Puerto Rico in the 200 IM. She turned in a time of 2:13.09 at the Atlanta Classic, earning a gold medal in the event, which ultimately earned her a spot on the team.

Romano graduated from Ohio State in 2022. This will be her first career Olympic Games.

Swimming at the 2024 Olympic Games will be held at the Paris La Defense Arena, located in the city of Nanterre. Indoor swimming kicks off July 27 and runs through Aug. 4; 35 medal events will be competed.
