DODSONVILLE — The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs dropped their homecoming game Friday night, to the Ripley Blue Jays, 73-53 at LCHS.
Shain Gragg and Shelbi Halverson were named homecoming king and queen for LC.
LC trailed after every quarter with RHS leading 15-10 after the first frame. After the second quarter, the Blue Jays led 37-22.
In the third quarter, each team scored 13 points, with RHS leading 50-35 after eight minutes ticked off the clock. In the final frame, Ripley outscored LC, 23-18.
LC senior Steven Collins led the Mustangs with 12 points.
The loss drops LC to 3-9 overall and 2-3 in the Southern Hills League.
LC is scheduled to play again Friday, Jan. 21 as they host the Manchester Greyhounds in SHL play.
