Mustangs golf team compiles 2 wins

This week was a productive one for the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs golf team as they gained two wins this week by defeating Ripley and Blanchester.

On Aug. 28, LC avenged their loss earlier in the season to Ripley on Tuesday by traveling to Buttermilk Golf Course in Georgetown and defeating the Blue Jays on their home course by a score of 188-194.

Scores for Lynchburg-Clay included: Zach Blankenship (44), Ryan Inman (46), Marc Blankenship (47) and Zach Smith (51).

Zach Blankenship was the medalist with the 44 low-score.

On Wednesday (Aug. 29), Lynchburg-Clay defeated Blanchester at White Oak Country Club, 185-212.

Lynchburg-Clay scores included: Zach Blankenship (40), Marc Blankenship (47), Alec Smith (47), Ryan Inman (51) and Zach Smith (51).

Blanchester's Grant Ledford was medalist with a 39.

Lynchburg-Clay now stands at 9-1 overall.
