Mustangs fall at Eastern Brown

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs showed improvement from their previous game this week, but still came up looking for their first win of the year as they were defeated 60-49 by the Eastern Brown Warriors, Friday at EBHS.

For the Mustangs (0-1, 0-3), they were led in scoring by senior Alec Smith as he scored 20 points while adding nine rebounds.

LC freshman Devin Pierson had the best game of his young career thus far, totaling 13 points.

After the first quarter, LC led the Warriors 16-14 and led at the half over EB, 29-24.

At the conclusion of the third, LC led 45-38. In the fourth, EB outscored the visiting Mustangs 22-4 to take the lead and defend their home court.

LC will look to gain their first win of the year on Friday, Dec. 14 when they travel to Ripley.[[In-content Ad]]
