Miami’s Bevelhimer named Ray Guy Award semifinalist
Miami University’s Alec Bevelhimer was recently named one of 10 semifinalists for the Ray Guy Award, given annually to the nation's top punter.
The junior ranks 10th in the nation with a 46.7-yard average and has 16 punts of over 50 yards this season. He has downed 15 kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line and has just four touchbacks all season long.

In week three at Cincinnati, he averaged 52.0 per punt with a season-high three downed inside the Bearcat's 20. Two weeks later, he averaged 51.8 yards and had a career long 64-yard punt in a win over Kent State.
