GREENFIELD — A new season of high school football is under way across the Buckeye State this week. In Greenfield, the McClain Tigers, under new head coach Jeremey Andrews, were on the practice field off McClain Avenue for their Tuesday morning practice.

Coach Andrews is taking over the spot vacated by former head coach Randy Closson, who resigned last winter in order to spend more time with his family.

Andrews has been a part of many successful programs in Ohio as well as Florida and Georgia. He is a 1997 Gahanna Lincoln High School graduate and a graduate of The Ohio State University.

The Tigers were hustling through a series of offensive and defensive sets on Tuesday, with several McClain fans watching from the sidelines, parked cars and neighborhood front porches.

The Tigers open their 2015 season at home against the Adena Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
