McClain girls basketball holds awards banquet

The McClain Lady Tigers basketball team held their annual awards ceremony on March 19, in the cafetorium at McClain High School. 
Speakers for the event included JV head coach/varsity assistant Audra Cook-Branham, varsity assistant Jarrod Haines, and head coach Dennis Overstake.
Notable award winners for the 2011-12 season were:
Jenna Perie — Team Highest Efficiency Award, Coaches Award (voted on by coaches), Team Captain, Co-MVP (voted on by teammates), 1st Team All-SCOL, Co-Player of the Year District 14, Honorable Mention All-Ohio
Taylor Faulconer — Hustle Award
Sammy Rooks — Co-MVP (voted on by teammates), Team Captain
Shania Massie _ Most Improved
Kate Crabtree — Team Captain
As a team the Lady Tigers were third place in the South Central Ohio League and sectional champions.
