The Highland County Press-
The McClain Tigers showed improvement in their South Central Ohio League opener, but the Madison-Plains Golden Eagles were too much to handle in the final inning, as the Golden Eagles walked off with a 4-3 victory.

The Tigers allowed the final run of the game to cross home plate in the seventh inning, for the third loss in four games this season.

Kyle Flora was charged with the loss for MHS, as he went the distance facing 30 Golden Eagle batters. The senior hurler struck out four and allowed only one earned run in the contest.[[In-content Ad]]
Even though the Tigers managed only three hits, they were able to plate three runners in the game. The big inning for the visitors was the fifth when they scored twice off of a single by Zach Puckett. McClain's first run came in the fourth inning, where they tied the score 1-1.

The Tigers (0-1, 1-3) continue their road trip week to East Clinton on Friday for another SCOL contest.
