In a surprising turn of events, the South Central Ohio League girls golf title didn't go to the team who led the SCOL during the regular season.

Last year, it was McClain who surpassed the Hillsboro Lady Indians, and this year it was  Madison-Plains winning the golf title and McClain moving to second place following the completion of the league championship match Saturday.

MP won with a complete score of 368, followed by McClain in second at 381 and Hillsboro (the regular-season leader) in third at 383. The final two SCOL scores were Clinton-Massie in fourth (405) and East Clinton in fifth at 425. Miami Trace didn't total a team score.

Earning first-team All-SCOL honors were: Molly Scroggy (CM), Ashley Caplinger (EC), Morgan Dettwiller (MHS), Haylee Wehrung (HHS), Kaylin Dill (MP), Bailey Stephens (MP) and Christan Bowshier (MP).
