LC defeats West Union; fall in twin bill to Adena

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustang baseball team recently went 1-2 in their last three games, defeating the West Union Dragons and falling in a twin bill on Saturday to the Adena Warriors at AHS.
On Saturday, the Mustangs lost by scores of 8-2 and 5-4, both non-league losses.
LC stands at 2-0 in the SHL and 2-3 overall this season.
In the first game against Adena on Saturday, where LC lost 8-2, Wes Pierson went 2-for-3 with one run scored. Colt West was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Scott Cawood (1-1) was charged with the loss for LC. Cawood pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs with no walks
Cawood struck out two batters.
In the second game against the Warriors, a 5-4 loss, Austin Fawley was 2-for-4 for the Mustangs, scoring one run.
Joey Butler was 2-for-4 with one RBI for LC.
Terry Campbell (0-1) was charged with the loss on the mound. He pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs with three walks. Campbell struck out six batters.

On Thursday, LC defeated the West Union Dragons, 12-2 for their second Southern Hills League win of the season.
Earlier in the week LC defeat the North Adams Green Devils for their first win of the season.
Fawley was 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Butler also went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Pierson finished 2-for-3 at the plate, with two runs and one RBI.
Colin Creek finished 2-for-4 at the plate for the Mustangs, hitting a solo home run, For the game, Creek scored two runs with one RBI.
Gage Waits was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Pierson (1-1) was charged with the loss for LC. He pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs with one walk. He struck out four Adena batters.
