Lady Tigers rout London

LONDON - The Lady Tigers of McClain gained their 13th win of the season as they easily defeated their London Lady Red Raiders 62-24 Friday night at London High School in a South Central Ohio League contest.
The Lady Tigers (9-1, 13-2) continued their momentum from their big win against Miami Trace with an outright dominating performance against London with quarters of 17, 18, 19 and 8 in the league victory.
London offense was held to quarters of 5, 8, 3, and 8.
McClain shot 7 of 8 from the free-throw line for 88 percent, and 26 of 54 for 48 percent, London shot 9 of 40 for 23 percent. MHS forced 24 turnovers, while committing 14.
MHS junior Chrissy Cobb finished with a game-high 14 points, making one 3-pointer and seven two-point buckets. Cobb also led the Lady Tigers with nine rebounds.
Kate Hammond finished with 12 points, followed by Megan Saylor with eight points. Alex Taylor and Sammy Rooks finished with six points in the win over the Lady Red Raiders.
McClain's Cortney Hyer and Jenna Perie each gained five points and Shelby Buck gained three points. Megan Hogle scored two points.
The Lady Tigers had 31 total rebounds, while London gained 21 boards. Perie and Saylor finished with five rebounds each for MHS.
MHS now stands at 13-2 overall, 9-1 in the SCOL. MHS will take on the Miami Trace Lady Panthers at MTHS on Thursday for first place in the SCOL.
London falls to 3-11, 0-8 in league play.
