Lady Tiger volleyball bows out of sectionals

The McClain Lady Tigers were eliminated from the postseason on Saturday afternoon, falling in the Division III SE District Sectional Final volleyball tournament in three straight sets.

MHS fell to the No. 3 seeded Northwest Lady Mohawks by scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 27-25 to see their season come to a close.


[[In-content Ad]]This postseason for the Lady Tigers, who were a No. 6 seed, defeated the Valley Lady Indians this week in three sets at McClain High School in the sectional semifinals.

MHS finished with 10 wins this season.

Seniors in their final match for the Lady Tigers were: Taylor Wheaton, Allie Orr-Zody, Sydney Barton and Sarah Thompson.

Northwest will now face No. 2 seeded Meigs on Oct. 23 in the district finals.
