Lady Mustangs win in OT over Blanchester

It wasn't easy for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs, but they answered their weekend loss with a victory Monday evening, winning in overtime by a score of 48-45 at BHS.
For the Lady Mustangs (9-5), they scored 14 points in the first quarter of the non-conference game and followed that with quarter scoring of five points, 13 points and nine points in the fourth quarter.[[In-content Ad]]
In OT, LC added seven points to gain the win.
Leading the Lady Mustangs in scoring was Hannah Binkley with 16 points, followed by twin sister McKayla Binkley with 10 points.
"This was a tough game for us. We played hard throughout," LC head coach Whitney Lewis said. "I think we did everything possible to try and lose, from missing free throws, fouling, and missing layups ... but we found a way win.
"Good teams do that, even when they play bad. They find a way to win, and that's what we did. We found a way to win."
Ali Little added seven points, and Bailey Leininger added four points.
Scoring three points each were Madysyn Creighton, Sarah Rosselott and Madison Wills. Adding two points was Morgan Fittro.
LC finished 10-of-22 from the free-throw line. Wills and Hannah Binkley each made a 3-pointer.
