Lady Mustangs soccer ranked 10th in state poll

In the most recent OSSCA Division III girls soccer poll (Sept 3), the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs were ranked No. 10 in the state.
LC is currently 5-0-0 overall this season and 2-0-0 in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference.
Thus far this season, the Lady Mustangs have defeated Georgetown by a 4-0 score, followed by a win over Western Brown at 3-0. Their first SHAC win came against Eastern Brown by a 6-2 score, and they came back with a 10-0 win over McClain and a 2-1 victory over Fayetteville, also an SHAC match.

The Lady Mustangs' next match is Wednesday, Sept. 11 when they travel to play Peebles in their third SHAC match of the season. That match will be followed by a Friday night match when they host SHAC rival the Ripley Lady Blue Jays.
The Top 10 Division III poll is led by Hawken (Gates Mills) at 3-0-2 and followed by Summit Country Day (Cincinnati) who are 2-1-0 overall at No. 2.
Bishop Fenwick (Middletown), who is 1-1-1 and Troy Christian School (4-0-0) are tied for third.
In fifth is Worthington Christian School (3-1-1).
No. 6 ranked is Badin (Hamilton) at 2-0-0, followed by Oak Harbor at No. 7 with a record of 3-0-0. United (Hanovertown) in eighth at 5-0-0.
The ninth ranked team is Liberty-Benton at 4-0-1.
Also receiving votes were Cincinnati Country Day School, Grandview Heights, Elyria Catholic, Mansfield Christian School, Archbold, Badger (Kinsman).
