The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs dropped a home doubleheader on Saturday, falling in a non-conference matchup with the Paint Valley Lady Bearcats.
LC lost both games by scores of 11-2.
"The girls never gave up," LC head coach Spring Roberts said. "We did keep Paint Valley scoreless a couple innings, but when they scored, they scored in bulk.
"Paint Valley's coach talked to our girls afterwards and told them to keep heads high. He told them he was in their position a couple years back starting a lot of underclassmen. He now has them as upperclassman, and he told them they (LC) were going to be tough in the next years to come."
