Lady Mustangs defeat PV by 25 points

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs doubled the score of the Paint Valley Lady Bearcats Saturday, for a 50-25 win in their non-league game.
Six Lady Mustang players scored points Saturday, with Laney Lewis leading with 13 points. Lewis gained a double-double by adding 13 rebounds. She also had four assists, three steals and two blocked shots.
Hannah Blankenship finished with 11 points, four steals, three assists and one rebound.
Brooke Hertlein finished with eight points, adding eight boards and one assist.
Lillian Blankenship and Meredith Fittro each scored seven points. Blankenship had eight steals, five rebounds and three assists. Fittro added two rebounds. Karen Hilt scored four points, and tallied six rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Emma Setty had one rebound and one steal.
LC led 15-10 after the first quarter and led 32-17 at halftime after outscoring PV 17-7 in the second quarter.
In the third, LC outscored PV 10-4, and in the final quarter, LC won the frame 8-4.
LC will play again on Tuesday, Feb. 8 as they host the Washington Lady Blue Lions with JV starting at 6 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
