SARDINIA — For the fourth straight game, Lynchburg-Clay won away from their home court as they've opened the season 4-0 with a 47-29 Southern Hills Athletic Conference win over the Eastern Brown Lady Warriors Monday.
The win at EBHS was led by senior Laney Lewis as she scored 28 points, along with 11 rebounds for a double-double. In four games this season, Lewis has totaled at least a double-double (one triple-double) in three of those played.
LC (4-0) opened the game with a 14-6 lead but were outscored in the second frame, 11-10. In the third, they totaled eight points, while holding EB to six. In the final eight minutes, the Lady Mustangs outscored EB by nine points in the frame at 15-6.
As for Lewis, she opened the game with a seven-point first quarter, then added two points in the second. In the second half, she broke away for 19 points, including 11 points in the fourth. Of her 11 rebounds, five were offensive, and she added three assists, six steals and three blocks.

Emma Setty ended with six points as she collected four rebounds.
Sarah Rosselott totaled four points, four rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot. Shelby Stewart also scored four points as she added three rebounds.
Ali Little finished with three points, nine rebounds (three offensive) and two blocks. Madysyn Creighton totaled two points, with three rebounds and one steal.
Also for LC, Morgan Fittro added one rebound, two assists and three steals.
As a team, LC was 22-of-65 (including 3-pointer attempts) from the field with 35 rebounds (14 offensive), five assists, 11 steals and six blocks. LC had 14 turnovers and 12 fouls.
LC will play at home on Thursday for the first time this season as they host SHAC rival North Adams with JV starting at 6 p.m.
