For three straight years, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs are winners of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference.

This time, the Lady Mustangs were perfect in the conference by defeating the North Adams Lady Green Devils, 5-0 en route to a perfect 7-0 mark in the conference, as the game was played at LCHS.

LC (13-0-1 overall) finished perfect in the SHAC for the second time in three seasons and haven't lost in a conference match since the 2010 season. LC is 20-0-1 the past three seasons in SHAC action, with two 7-0 records and last year finishing at 6-0-1.

"This was a fantastic night for the Lady Mustangs as they clinched first place," LC coach Dennis West said. "The girls are playing excellent soccer, and we have everyone getting involved, which is beneficial to our team."

LC junior Keanna Oaks led LC Friday with a hat-trick, netting two goals in the first half and adding one more for good measure early in the second half.

Also in the first half, junior Shelby Stewart put the host team ahead by three goals with 3:53 on the clock, assisted by freshman McKayla Binkley off a cross kick.

Oaks converted the hat-trick with 36:30 left in regulation following a goal from 22 yards away.

Binkley made it the final 5-0 lead with a goal at the 25:54 mark of the second half, assisted by freshman Shelby Chisman with a pass.

The LC keeper duo of sophomore Bailey Leininger and freshman Sabrina Duncan totaled three saves in the match combined as LC outshot the visitors, 23-2.
