Lady Mustang volleyball bow out of sectionals

The 2012 volleyball season for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs came to an end Tuesday night as they lost in three sets to the North Adams Lady Green Devils in the first match of the 2012 Division III SE District Sectional tournament at NAHS.

In their sectional match on Tuesday, the Lady Mustangs fell by scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-14.

Lynchburg-Clay, the No. 13 seed, finished the season at 0-18 overall. North Adams moves to 11-8 overall as they were 9-4 in the Southern Hills League this season.

LC seniors in their final match were: Kristi Hansen, Jessica Hickey, Claire Magie and Taylor Hooley.

North Adams, the No. 4 seed, will play again on Saturday, Oct. 20 as they will face Piketon. Piketon, a No. 5 seed, defeated No. 12 Portsmouth in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-15.
