"As a team, we played well for about 29 minutes, but a three-minute stretch in the third quarter got us behind," FHS head coach Matt Hodson said.

East Clinton outscored FHS in the third, 18-9.

"This was an improvement over our game against Adena on Friday, as we cut our turnovers almost in half in this game," Hodson said. "The big difference was second-chance baskets by East Clinton."

EC had 14 offensive rebounds and converted eight of them into baskets.

"We also got into foul trouble with three starters spending big minutes on the bench throughout the game," Hodson said.

On Friday, FHS played in the Paint Valley Lady 'Cats Classic against Adena. In the loss, Cox led the Lady Lions with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
