Competing against 17 total teams in an event with 162 runners, the Hillsboro Lady Indians cross-country team placed seventh on Saturday in the George Rogers Clark Invitational.
In the event from Highland County were Hillsboro and Fairfield with a total of 16 runners from HHS and three from FHS.
For the Lady Indians, junior Alissa Hauke led with a finish of 22nd and a time of 21:45.14. Reaghan Haines, a freshman, was 23rd at 21:48.17. Senior Brittany Ferrell finished 27th with a time of 22:02.62, and junior Hannah Opst was 50th at 23:13.27.
Ceairra Neal, a freshman, was 62nd (24:02.24), and fellow freshman Madi St. Clair was 67th at 24:24.69.

The event was won by Teays Valley sophomore Lora Overholt with a time of 19:32.07. The team event winner was Teays Valley.
For the Lady Lions, Kaitlin Evans, a sophomore, led FHS in 63rd with a time of 24:05.01. Also running for FHS were freshman Kaylee Crum (25:00.15) and senior Brenna Simmons (26:39.31).
In the middle school race, leading all Highland County runners was Fairfield seventh grader Grace Shope with a time of 13:10.67. Leading Hillsboro Middle School was eighth grader McKenzie Hamm with a time of 13:35.63.
As a team, the HMS girls were fifth at 168 points, with a total time of 1:14:40 (14:56.06). The Fairfield Middle School team finished 11th with a total time of 1:18:22.09 with 244 points.
