Indians win in double OT over Golden Eagles

Jarrod Hart sent the Hillsboro Indians into overtime, and after a second OT for good measure, the host Tribe defeated the visiting Madison-Plains Golden Eagles, 48-41 Friday night.
The South Central Ohio League game consisted of 10 lead changes and eight tied scores, including in the second overtime at 41-41. From there, the Indians scored the final seven points of the second OT.

In the second OT, the Indians outscored MP, 9-2 with points from Hart, Jordan Captain and Zach Young. Captain scored five points in the second overtime, as he ended the game with 18 points.
Hart led HHS with 21 points, including three 3-pointers.
The game began with MP leading the Indians 14-11 after the first frame, followed by both teams scoring eight points each in the second frame, as MP led 22-19 at halftime.
MP led the third 8-5, and in the fourth, the Indians outscored the Golden Eagles, 10-4 to force OT. In the first OT, each team scored five points.
Also adding points for HHS throughout the game was Young with seven points and Latrell Haithcock with two points.
Brooks Carter led MP with 13 points, and Alex Williams followed with 11 points. Also scoring for MP were Eli Williams with six points, Ryne Davis with seven and Jonathan Siler with four points.
MP finished with four 3-pointers, including two from Carter.
HHS will play a makeup game on Tuesday as they host Goshen.
