Indians win close game against Red Raiders

LONDON —The Hillsboro Indians continued to keep their winning pace on Tuesday night, earning their fifth consecutive victory in close fashion, by defeating the London Red Raiders 67-66 at LHS.
The South Central Ohio League win over the Red Raiders puts HHS at 3-0 in league games and 5-2 overall.
London falls to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the SCOL.
On Tuesday, HHS trailed the Red Raiders 13-10 after the first frame. In the second frame the Indians scored 10 points, trailing 27-20 at halftime.
In the third, HHS outscored LHS 24-21, and in the final eight minutes HHS added 23 points to their total, while holding LHS to 18 points to gain the win.
A big help for the Indians was from senior Chase Gilliland with 20 points, including four 3-pointers.
Táron Captain finished with 12 points, and Tyrand Cumberland added 11 points for the Tribe.
The next game for HHS will be on Friday when they host the Whiteoak Wildcats in non-league play at 8 p.m.
LHS will play again on Wednesday, Dec. 28 in a holiday tournament at Miami Trace when they face Greeneview in non-league play at 6:30 p.m.
