Indians, Tigers take part in SCOL boys basketball preview

The South Central Ohio League boys basketball preview was held at Miami Trace High School Friday night, where seven of the eight teams in the league took part in the preseason event.
The first two games of the evening were two quarters each, while the final three were one quarter apiece.
Opening the event was Hillsboro defeating East Clinton by a 27-18 score. For HHS, Jarrod Hart led with 12 points, followed by Trey Moberly and Reese Leibreich each scoring five points. Jordan Captain and Alex Branscome each finished with two, and Zach Young rounded out the scoring with one point.
Scoring for East Clinton were Tyler Lewis with six, followed by Dalton Floyd with five. Clyde Snow and Hayden Knisley each scored three, and Robbie Minnie scored one point.[[In-content Ad]]
In the second two-quarter game, Washington defeated London, 35-34. Scoring for Blue Lions was led by Derek Shaw with nine. Sam Runnels and Conner Eckles each scored eight points. Tyler Slone totaled four points, followed by David Harvey, Garret Phipps and Gavin Wissinger each scoring two points.
Scoring for London, Zac Carey totaled 13 points, followed by Zach Anderson with nine, Brock Bennett with six, Dustin Fisher with four and Seth Roberts with two.
In the first one-quarter game, Madison-Plains, defeated McClain 14-7, followed by Madison-Plains defeating Miami Trace, 16-11. In the final quarter of games, McClain defeated Miami Trace, 11-7.
For McClain vs. Madison-Plains, Brent Shannon scored three, followed by Ryan Faulconer and Evan Mustard each with two points. For MP, Alex Williams scored six points, followed by Brooks Carter with five. Hunter Butin followed with two, and Nick Garrett totaled one point.
In the McClain vs. Miami Trace quarter, Mustard totaled four, followed by Shannon with three and Jeremiah Savage and Mikel Prichard each scoring two points. For MT, Trevor Smith totaled four, followed by Cedric Pettiford with two and Brady Ward with one.
Due to the state football playoffs the Clinton-Massie Falcons did not play in the preview.
