Indians suffer 1st league loss

Unable to score in double figures in two of four quarters played, the Hillsboro Indians dropped their first South Central Ohio League game of the season, falling to the Washington Blue Lions 42-33, Tuesday at Washington Senior High School.

The Indians scored 13 points in the first two quarters, as they trailed 19-13 at the half.

HHS and the host Blue Lions each scored nine points in the third, and in the final eight minutes, the Blue Lions led 14-11.

Leading the Indians in scoring was Jarrod Hart with 10 points, followed by Jordan Captain with nine.

For the Indians, they now stand at 4-2 overall, 1-1 in the SCOL.

HHS will play again on Friday, Dec. 21 as they host the London Red Raiders in SCOL play.
