Impending weather cancels Rumble in The Hills at Atomic
With weather models showing continuous heavy rain in Chillicothe this weekend, Super DIRTcar Series and Atomic Speedway officials have agreed to cancel the Super DIRTcar Series portion of Rumble in the Hills, keeping the best interest of traveling fans and teams in mind.
The Super DIRTcar Series portion of the event will not be made up with no viable reschedule date available this year.
Anyone who bought a ticket for the event can contact Atomic Speedway for a refund.
The Super DIRTcar Series returns to action at Super DIRT Week 52 at Oswego Speedway on Oct. 7-12.
“Racing’s Biggest Party” culminates with the 52nd running of the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 on Saturday, Oct. 12, running under the light at the “Clay Palace” for the first time.
Three-time and defending Billy Whittaker Cars 200 champion Mat Williamson and 10-time Series champion Matt Sheppard aim for their fourth victory in the event joining Super DIRTcar Series stars Anthony Perrego, Jimmy Phelps, Alex Payne, Peter Britten who are chasing the $52,000 prize.
