Hilt recognized for standout soccer season

DODSONVILLE — At halftime of the Lynchburg-Clay vs. West Union boys basketball game on Tuesday, senior soccer standout Karen Hilt was honored for all of her accomplishments during the past soccer season.
Hilt was presented with a plaque by LC girls soccer head coach Dennis West.
This season, Hilt was named to the NSCAA High School Scholar All-American team, as she was one of only 35 girls soccer players from across the United States selected to this team.
Hilt's accomplishments from the 2011 season also include: NSCAA High School Girls All Region 4 Team, All-Ohio first team (Division III), Southeast District D3 Player of the Year, All SE District 1st Team and Southern Hills All-League team.
She plans to attend Morehead State University in the fall on an academic and athletic scholarship, as she will be playing soccer for the Eagles.[[In-content Ad]]
