Kailyn Greer, a 2025 graduate of Hillsboro High School, has qualified for the national high school rodeo competition in barrel racing at Rock Springs, Wyo., July 13-19.

Greer's passion and dedication to barrel racing have resulted in this outstanding achievement, as yet another Highland County student-athlete is competing post-graduation in 2025.

Greer finished as the Reserve Champion for the Ohio High School Rodeo Association in barrel racing and placed sixth in pole bending.

Greer's outstanding performance – including two first-place finishes over two rounds of barrels and a second-place finish in another – secured the points needed to qualify for nationals and earning the title of 2025 Reserve Champion Barrel Racer and State Finals Average Barrel Racer Champion.

The community extends congratulations to Kailyn and wishes her all the best in the national competition.
