Highland County Thunder defeats Lakota Chargers, 11-10

The Highland County Thunder played their first home game of the season at Shaffer Park on Sunday (June 27) against the Lakota Chargers of Cincinnati, defeating the Chargers 11-10.
The first year select team consists of boys 14-and-under and is part of a 20 team division of the Southwest Ohio League. They play teams in southern Ohio, N. Kentucky, and Indiana.
The Thunder team battled back from six-run deficit (8-2) in the bottom of the fourth inning for the win against the Chargers.
With two runs scoring in the bottom of the fourth, while adding four more in the bottom of the sixth.
After adding three more in the bottom of the seventh with two outs, the Thunder were able to snatch the victory.
In the seventh, Ty Crum lead off with a base hit, and Seth Meyer followed with a walk. Both runners pulled off a double steal, to get into scoring position.
With two outs, Ryan Ward drove in both runners with a double. After stealing third, Ward scored on a wild pitch, with a full count on the batter, to end the game.
Ward led the hitting with a perfect 4-for-4 day. Jeremiah Hacker followed with a 2-for- 4 oday at the plate. The winning pitcher was Adrian Duncan.
