Flora tosses one-hitter in Tigers' win at VA Memorial

CHILLICOTHE — The McClain Tigers baseball team defeated the Vinton County Vikings at Chillicothe's VA Memorial Stadium, Tuesday, 4-0.

Sophomore hurler Kyle Flora threw a one-hitter for the Tigers, who improve to 3-2 on the season.   

Flora went the distance for the Tigers, fanning six Viking hitters.   

The Tiger defense was, once again, solid in the winning effort, committing no errors during the game.

The Tigers were led at the plate by Jake Dillon, who went 2-for-2 with one steal.   

Five other Tigers each contributed one hit, including: Ryan Case, Thorne Hester, Kyle Flora, Ryan Perie and Jacob Branham.

The Tigers host London Wednesday for their South Central Ohio League opener at 5 p.m. at Mitchell Park.
