Former Ohio State swimmer Hunter Armstrong has punched his ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics as a member of Team USA's 4x100 free relay squad.
Armstrong, of Dover, Ohio, finished fourth in the 100 free final, turning in a personal-best time of 47.78 to secure the final spot on the four-person relay team.
This will be Armstrong's second Olympic Games; he also competed with Team USA in Tokyo and won a gold medal as part of the 4x100 medley relay team.
Armstrong also earned a second-place finish in the 100 back with a time of 52.72, which qualified him to compete in that event in Paris as well.
Swimming at the 2024 Olympic Games will be held at the Paris La Defense Arena, located in the city of Nanterre. Indoor swimming kicks off July 27 and runs through Aug. 4; in total, 35 medal events will be competed.
