District 14 Boys Basketball Coaches team announced

The 2011-12 District 14 Boys Basketball Coaches Association team has been announced, with seven players on the team and one head coach being named coach of the year.

Players named to the team in Division II included second-team McClain freshman Ryan Faulconer and Hillsboro senior Tyrand Cumberland. Hillsboro senior Chase Gilliland and McClain senior Trey Lytle were selected as honorable mention.

Division II Coach of the Year was Hillsboro's Brett Prince. His team finished as South Central Ohio League champions, with a 15-6 overall record in his first season at Hillsboro.

In Division IV (no Highland County players were selected in Division III), Fairfield junior Quentin Williams was selected second-team, while FHS junior Brad Clay and Whiteoak junior Luke Taggert were selected honorable mention.

Players of the Year in all divisions included: Waverly senior Jake Kretzer (Division I/II), Portsmouth senior Dion McKinley and Huntington senior Dylan Gragg (Division III) and Manchester senior Travis Combs and South Webster Austin Loop (Division IV).[[In-content Ad]]
