Hillsboro High School senior Colt Coates signed his National Letter of Intent to play men's basketball for the Southern State Patriots, Tuesday at the Patriot Center, in Hillsboro.
Coates played high school basketball for the Hillsboro Indians.
The 6-8 Coates said he wants to help the Patriots win games next season, and he was happy to be playing basketball for Southern State.
SSCC head coach Greg Himes said the new motto for his team is "Building a Tradition."
