Buckeyes to compete in MLB Desert Invitational
The Ohio State baseball team's matchups for the 2024 MLB Desert Invitational have been announced. The Buckeyes, who will make their first appearance in the tournament, will face Boston College, BYU and USC.
The round-robin tournament, which is the MLB's annual Arizona-based tournament designed to celebrate the traditional start to the college baseball season, will be held Feb. 16-19 across three locations in the Greater Phoenix area.
The Buckeyes will play the first game of the weekend, facing Boston College on Friday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. ET at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The game will air live on MLB Network.
On Saturday, Feb. 17, Ohio State matches up with BYU at 7 p.m. ET at Sloan Park.
The Buckeyes close out their weekend with a game against future Big Ten foe USC at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Sloan Park.
Ohio State's games versus BYU and USC will stream live on MLB.com.
In total, eight teams will be competing at the Desert Invitational; Boston College, BYU, Georgetown, Grand Canyon, Kansas State, Ohio State, Cal and USC.
